Emanuele joined nef in November 2010. He works on the macroeconomics and modelling of a just and sustainable economic system, a critical part of nef's work on The Great Transition.
Emanuele has an academic background in economics, having graduated at Bocconi University of Milan. He then completed an MSc in Cooperation and Development at the University of Pavia and worked in various Latin American countries as a researcher. He is currently completing his PhD in Economics at the University of Pavia and SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), with a dissertation on sustainability of growth, common resources and climate change. He is the author of With the World on its Shoulders: Global issues and the Limits to Growth.
