Ruth Potts

Ruth has worked in the press offices of Amnesty International UK and Christian Aid, in research for National Lottery body the New Opportunities Fund and in public affairs for the National Federation of Women's Institutes.

In her five years as Communications Manager, Ruth co-ordinated nef's media coverage and public affairs from 2004-2009. Amongst other things, Ruth contributed to and helped to launch nef's Clone Town Britain report, The Happy Planet Index reports and National Accounts of Well-being, and she co-ordinated media for the Working Group on Climate Change and Development (also known as the Up in Smoke coalition).

Ruth has been involved in the One Hundred Months campaign from its start in August 2008, she co-ordinated the launch of A Green New Deal and helped to launch the Post Bank coalition.

Ruth holds an MSc in Latin American politics. Ruth is interested in politics, art, social change and the power of storytelling.
